If so, you should be able to access them in-game by visiting one of those costume customisation stations.
I clicked download and then opened Borderlands 2, started my game, went to a customization station and there it was. At the bottom of my list. But only for Axton, not for my other characters. I am talking about the Ash Bounty item btw.
OMG thank you so much. In all of the posts I have seen about not getting the skins. Not once did someone mention Shift Account. I didnt know what this was until I looked it up. Clicked on Extras, signed up for the account. Checked shift codes and saw all of the skins I had been trying to get show up. Launched BL2 and bam I now have the Portal Turret Skin for Zero :)

Oh, to anyone else not seeing them. I had to go alll the way to the bottom of the list, by the skins you can purchase.

I didn't say you needed to start a new game, I just started my save game, or continued one.
