Ash was also a pain in the POOTIS for me, but if you try hard, you should be able to beat him.

The AI's don't have specific skill levels depending on character to character, so yes. I actually beat Ash within the first few rounds!
My strategy: Keep going all in until you lose. When you lose, pause during the cutscene that tells you that you lost, then quit the game and re-enter, and because the game didn't auto save when you lost, you can try again. If you fail 3 times in a row using this strategy, fold, and try again.

i thought the dog was the best player. although he doesnt usually play without a hand like the bot or the big guy so if hes in, fold..

Ash bluffs like crazy. He's a ballsy mofo, which is pretty fitting to his character. Learn to call his bluffs and you can beat him no problem.

i have been playing with the big guy till like 8000 blinds total and he goes in with 5 and 7. yes. sometimes they go in but you cant bluff the guy like that..

Ash plays with a ton of risk. He bluffs a good amount, but can easily mislead you. It seems to be that he all-ins as early as possible, like at the hole.

He's actually been easy for me to catch, since I always raise and reraise bit by bit when I get a good hand.

he is the biggest ass in the game, next to glados, remove him from the table as soon as possible

samson is without a doubt easist, he makes foolish rash decisions and goes all in on poor hands, ash bluffs well and calls/checks more than bets. he is slow to work down.

sam (dog) only plays when he has something else he folds early. take it slow and steady to bait him in else wear him down with folds and let blinds bank rupt him.

claptrap is ironically one of hardest. he jumps his style often to show the crazyness of his inspiration. once you click which play style he is in though he not too difficult.

these days i have done all possible options in game so i can pick and choose how to eliminate and when.

also buying drinks is more often than not a waste. easier to learn the styles

The AI are all being supported by the card draws. You can go in with a pair of aces and they'll get a royal straight flush out of it :P
