Controller Calibration NOT WORKING

To the ones who made this game, please fix the game you people made. Controller calibration not working, when going to calibrate it the first key does not even reconize the button press. It is sad when developers make something and leave it to be fixed by the community who play them, Bethesda is a shinying example. Please fix, I am reading that other people are having the same problem. Its not the players responsablity to fix the developers work.

If your can't drive your car on a road because there is a fallen tree crossing it, then your car must be fixed? Is the car company delivering a bugged product? Or maybe there is something external that is preventing your car to drive normally?

Issues with controller tend to come from third party programs that interfeer and change the signal coming from the controller, non compatible controllers or wrong drivers.

As you say, other people have problems, and most of them fixed it by disabling the "VJOY" application, that alters the signal.

What controller are you using?

If you're using a wireless gamepad, make sure it's on and connected before you launch the game. I've had trouble getting games to recognize my controller if I launch and then turn it on.

Mr. Franfistro, I see your the developer of Unepic and replied thank you. I hated to make a comment about this game I love it. But the problem is that I got the in early acsess on Steam and play the crap out of it. The in-game controller calibration tool worked fine then. And now I am trying to play it again and the in-game tool is doing this now; When I go to calibrate the very first buton to be calibrated (Up Dpad) it lights up 2 other light indicators to show you pushed a button 3 in total light up (I only pushed up Dpad) and thats as far as the tool lets me calibrate. I did take a snap shot on Steam of the problem feel free to look at it. Sorry if my comment was rude earlier, I really do love this style of gaming and Unepic is a great work of art. Please let me know if you have a question.

Theres a link to the image. I have been using Xpadder to play, but I have Unepic on the Vita to and I have to say the controll layout is very nice for it.

When you press that button, Windows is saying to Unepic that button 9, 11 and 13 are being pressed.
The ! symbols are the buttons that Windows says that are being pressed.

So, something is messing the codes that Windows is giving to the game.

i played this game a long time ago and everything worked as intended.
I now re-installed it and my wired XBox 360 goes haywire with the game. No button works as intendet. If i press Cursor-Left it shows i press X and so on.

Have you calibrated it in the OPTIONS > CONTROLS > CALLIBRATE CONTROLLER ?

I'm afraid I can't help anymore here. There is something altering the controller in your PC, or drivers not working well. I suggest you have a look at what programs could alter it.
From my side, I'll look for another library that is not this sensitive to these external programs or OS.

Has there been any update about getting Xbox 360 controllers to work with this game? They don't work for me under Linux. Using the xpad kernel module, it always registers both triggers being pulled and can't calibrate. Using the xboxdrv driver with --trigger-as-button I can calibrate successfully. With either driver, nothing on the controller is working in-game other than pressing left pausing the game.

Update: Fixed it by using the xpad kernel module, taping the two shoulder buttons halfway and then calibrating

I used Xpadder to get things to work. Set the game to use the keyboard, then set up Xpadder with the controller to use the key strokes the keyboard uses. I would recommend useing the
D-pad for movement and the anolog sticks for quick swaping and spells.
