The Linux version of this title doesn't include controller support.
Sorry for any confusion.
Thanks,
BenTeam17
At this time, and to the best of my knowledge, we have no official plans to implement controller support at a later date.
This may be subject to review later down the line, so please keep an eye out for announcements and updates.
Thank you,
BenTeam17
There is no "confusion", it doesn't state anywhere that there is no controller support on Linux and the store page states "full controller support". Based on that, I don't see how I could have thought anything other than the game having controller support.
I always give Linux developers the benefit of the doubt because they're usually still relatively new to the platform and sometimes even wait patiently for a few months for bug fixes, etc.
However, given that this is Team17's third Linux port, the misleading nature of the store page, how integral controller support is for me and the flippancy of your response, I want a refund for the game.
Agreed that the controller icon is misleading and please accept our apologies for the oversight. We can't change that icon per platform, but what we have now done is change the icon to "partial controller support". We'll also update the product description and our Linux discussion threads.
If you bought the game before the store page was updated and would like a refund, please forward your purchase receipt to us on help@team17support.com using the subject line "Worms Clan Wars Controller Refund" including your full name, Steam ID and date/time of purchase. We're contacting Steam now to arrange a refund process and Ben will email you in response once we know what that process will be. Note that it is highly likely that after being refunded you will no longer be able to play Worms Clan Wars so please only request a refund if you're willing for that to happen.
Once again, our apologies for the oversight guys and I hope this goes some way to fixing the problem.

I appreciate this response Team17. Kudos for being cordial about it. I will play with a mouse for now. I am glad you released this finally for us, and if you get gamepad support in there at some point, great.
Thank you for changing the store page info about controller support to partial, and in the Linux minimum requirement that there is currently no controller support.
I was going to buy it to play on my TV... I'll now wait for a time where the controller support is updated.
It's a long wait, but when the Steam Controller comes out in November, you will be able to fully use it. The controller will emulate a keyboard, as far as the game is concerned.
It's not just a long wait, if joinTee had no intention of getting the Steam Controller then it's just spending an extra £30-£50 on a controller to be able to play one game which should have had controller support anyway.
