Why on earth did people a) greenlight it and b) buy this?
Hey
Just wondering.
Seen plenty of better deserving games IMHO but this?. Come on.... How on earth is this an interesting game ??????

I couldn´t tell you if my life depended on it, sorry. I guess it has something to do with the novelty of full single arm controls which are lacking in most games.

I would say this was greenlighted because of the enormous youtube presence the original had. Why are people buying it? because Its fun! this is not a serious or anatomically correct simulator. There is also a real challenge in the game though if you try to get the best score possible. I had to restart many times beforeI was finally able to get an A++ rating.

Gamers love to praise and pay $20 for arty nonsensical games like Dear Esther and Anna, but they seem to hate goofy and fun games like this.

I bought this on sale... would gladly pay full price for it. Can't wait to complete the game and be able to go out and perform real surgery! My friend needs a new heart anyways

Well then it's not a Simulator just a GoOfy non Simulator game... Simulator - more like GoOfelator... & N.O I did not buy it. lol :) I bought Truck Simulator 2 which in every sense is a Simulator nothing goOfy going on there let me tell ya... :)

There are several ways to play Surgeon Simulator 2013. While you can just goof around and smash rib cages and throw organs around, you can also play very patiently and aim for the better grades. I've found this game extremely enjoyable and people who take it as nothing more than a joke haven't most likely played it.

Even better: people seem to pay $60 for leam repetative AAA games like CoD and Battlefield but seem to hate $10 games that add humor and real fun to a game.

Yes yes, that's because the original intention of this game is to poke fun at the ridiculous amount of smulators coming into the market lately.
