Can trucks actually use the road that I build? (Using road flooring) I tried building one that spans halfway across the prison as a branch off the original path but trucks dont use it. Is it because the road doesnt span off screen? Its 5 blocks wide like the normal road so it should work...

I don't believe it does, but tbh never heard of someone using road tiles :/

I've never thought of doiing this either. Road tiles are in the game so maybe it will be a future feature to divert the traffic where you want. I am almost 100% sure that the trucks are on rails at the moment and don't have any pathfinding AI.

i was hoping for an answer becouse i wanted to divert the prison trucks into the prison to drop off instead of having them drop of outside

Nope, unfortunately not. They will only use the default roads that are already there.

However, you can research Land Expansion. Once you have done that, you can buy the land to the right of the road, and build your prison around the road on both sides. That way, you still have a truck driving "into" your prison. Use the road gates.

No, they're locked to the default road, even if you replace it with dirt using mods. There could be a mod out there which changes this however!

While the prisoners are outside they're in cuffs & can't escape while like this, even if the prison road is not caged in!
