Far Cry® 3 Blood Dragon

Far Cry® 3 Blood Dragon

Crash
I can't get it to work full stop.

I can't see a menu. I can't see anything before I get bumped back to my desktop with a blank window that's crashed and an error message telling me that Far Cry 3 : Blood Dragon has stopped working.

Is this fixable or am I entitled to get my money back for this game?

I'm working on trying to fix this same problem right now. Currently the only fix I've found that others have sucess with thus far is pirating it out-right. But I'm trying to avoid that. I'm now swapping it over to my C: drive as we speak to see if that works. But things are not really looking good. I've tried everything online that I can find.

Oh, and I'm swapping drives because there is an 0xc000005 error. Maybe it's relevant in a odd distant relation.

Yep, moving it into the library in C:/Program Files (x86) worked. If you have a similar setup I'd advise making this move as well.

It's fixable. I just tried disabling UPlay overlay in UPlay options and the game now normally starts from Steam and Steam-made shortcut. Also, the Steam overlay works now. I guess the Steam overlay and UShit overlay don't like each-other. Can you believe that... lol

There needs to be an actually thorough list of fixes and disclaimers for this game. Like. I tried about 6 fixes, including yours and just disabling every overlay in general. Nothing. What modern game requires you to install it into the C: drive though? Oh well.

Actually if we can get a Moderators approval we could go ahead and start a sticky on this forum.

Go into the event viewer after letting the game crash once. Look at the application logs. If you can get me the event ID I can give you a vague idea of what's wrong and how to fix it.

@Sassy.

What you said worked with moving the game to the C:/ Directory.

Geez I've been trying to get this game to work forever; if you see any of the games under $5 I'd gladly gift you ^^
