I have only played 10mins, but boy did they get the sword combat right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have waited for a melee fps since Dark Messiah and this just hits the nail on the head! Love the damage you can do aswell.

Some Frame rate issues-slightly low for a gtx680-getting about 50fps with post processing turned on medium, standard fxaa and everything on ultra but its agame i think really needs to run at 60fps due to the pace. Though not complaining, it looks lovely and its day 1!

Man this game rocks ! Just like you said, this game does sword combat right !
And indeed im having some frame rate issues too, but i'm convinced Flying Wild Hog will adress issues soon.

EDIT: I turned v-sync off, runs much smoother now ! :)

I can barely comment, but the action is so much fun due to the physics its excatly the type of game I'd replay. Btw I never played SW1.

Anyway back to playing!

My first impression is 24kb/sec, reminds me of the latter part of the nineties downloading the lastest internet explorer. I pre-loaded, but apparently there was still extra's to be downloaded. Probably good of the special edition. Ah well, I'll wait, but the " 2 hours and 30 min remaining" for a meager 800MB left is not what I had in mind when I preordered and preloaded..

Probably just you, i had to download 1gb after the pre-load and it took me 5 minutes. :S

Just quick update-lowered some stuff to high in graphics and get a solid 60fps. And this game NEEDS 60fps imo-it looks so sharp and smooth. Can't actually notice the difference. Patricles are lowered to high, remains and debris. Shadows on medium as is post processing and SSAO. GTX680 is the card. Just a heads up.

Gotta agree with the TC, this is the most satisfying FPV Melee combat ive had since Dark Messiah.

Not at all, 60 solid FPS here. Geforce 760.

Also i am having hell of a time already, game is excellent thus far.

According to a dev that was doing a small playthrough for gamespot a few days ago i think it was, he said its around 6-7 hours in length, but thats without looking for all the collectables and such so maybe add another hour or 2 depending on how many they are.

I know i want this game for sure, but sadly money is a little tight at the moment and with BF4 and CoD around the corner as well, gah i hate being poor.

You guys didnt think Skyrims melee combat was decent or what?, Messiah is an old ass game.

And i thought Skyrims melee was top notch.

Hey folks. Here's a tip for those wondering about performance - turn doen FXAAx4 to FXAA. Frames jumped a good +20fps when I turned down that one setting! I now get around 50fps at Ultra with FXAA on a GTX 780M 4GB :)
