Swat Heavy Armor Training perk confusing description
So it says that when you have body armor, sonic attacks only do damage to health. Only sirens have a sonic attack which is the scream and it's always only done damage to health and not armor since KF1 so what is the point of telling us this?

Edit: HAT prevents damage to health from non-sonic attacks but description is confusing until you actually use perk and notice effects.

Some people haven't played KF1 and are new to KF2. Your point is understandable though.

There are some other things that dip straight into health damage. From the top of my head, I can only think of fall damage and Hans drains. So I'm not sure why they specifically put "Sonic attacks" in the description.

I assume because those happen regardless unless a skill says otherwise.

I don't know why they added supposedly. Maybe to inform new KF players who aren't familiar or first time trying the game.

Yeah thats true. I guess it would be for those new players that don't understand how Sirens work. Although this just gave me the idea that TWI should add some kind of Zed Almanac to the main menu that overviewed all the Zeds with their weaknesses, lore, and abilities. This would allow new players to learn more about the nasties that they would be about to fight. Plus, lore is always cool.

That's a pretty cool idea. Would not mind that at all.

Tripwire should definitely do that. More users will be more interested if they read some sort of overview of Zed types and such. I agree with the idea.

People will say "use a wiki", But no new player does that. They should add it in-game.

Yeah a lot of people would say to read the wiki or look at a steam guide. The point of it would to be a simple one stop shop for all your KF2 information needs. I wouldn't even care if they just copy and pasted the wiki.

Indeed.

It's not implying that no one understands how armor works.

Normal armor blocks only some damage, you still take health damage.
This perk says that all damage goes to armor except siren scream.
Refer to my thread on "SWAT immune to Siren?"
The reason for this is because in the previous description it was not clear. We thought that since Sirens only damage Health and HAT transfers health damage to Armor, but since Sirens do not damage armor, that SWAT with armor would be invincible to Siren's screams. So they rewrote the description to clarify.

Which goes back to my point of HAT having a redundant description as SWAT are not immune to scream with the perk and there is no difference whether you have the perk or not against scream.

Yes, pretty much this perk is only clots can't grab and you start with 50% armor, they should probably add something else to HAT and or remove that sentence because it's already like that.
