How do you quit the game ??

When I move the cursor down to quit and press enter, it just goes to the little message that ID put there but the window stays open. When I hit escape again the color is messed up but still no exit. Alt + F4 also does nothing. Seems silly to start the task manager just to quit.

Its been about 13 years since the last time I played Quake 1. Time is not kind to the memory (or beauty). You may get a chance to find out for yourself.

At the end of the long page of pixelated text, it asks you to press y to exit or n to stay. y obviously means yes, n means no :P Dont worry, took my a wile to realize that aswell, even back when i got the original for dosbox back when i was in 4th grade

Thank you, that is legitimately crazy I could not exit. How the heck is anyone supposed to know to hit "y" without googling it?

Anyone with an IQ over 70 can sort out that when a prompt is asking if you want to quit the game with no visible "yes or no" to click with your mouse, that the most logical way of telling it your choice must be to press y or n on your keyboard for yes or no.
