This error means that you are not yet setup to run DX11 on your PC. Using the Diagnostic Tool checker will help you check if your system is up to date to run this DX11 only game. This checker will provide us with a pass/fail checklist including:

Operating System
• Which OS with Service Pack - This needs to have Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1.
  
• Processor Count (32 or 64)
  
  Display Devices
  
• Graphics Card
  
• If your Graphics card is active
  
• Feature Level - This needs to read 11.0. If it does not, you need to get a compatible DX11 Video Card.
  
• Driver Version
  
  Updates
  
• Checks if KB2670838 is installed and lists updates. This is the update that you need for DX11.
  
  Offending Processes
  
• Checks for known offending processes

To that note, while this issue seems to be affecting a good amount of you on Steam, it is something we have not seen before in-house and are doing our best to provide a fix for you right away. cpu: Intel i7 950 ram: 12 gb gpu: asus nvidia geforce gtx 580 op: windows 8.1

All I get is a white screen when I launch the game. Error might be related to the directX error but not sure. Is there any sort of error log I can use when launching this game so I can give you guys a more detailed view of this problem?

Alright so, apperently this game can't launch when some applications are active in the background of your computer. In my case, where I got a white screen. All I had to do was close teamviewer :) There might be similar programs like recording programs that cause this issue as well.
