Problem at end of sewer level

Is anyone else having issues at the end of the sewer level? So there's a door that you have to go through at the end of that level where you walk up some stairs and then you come out onto that beach right near the fuel tank that you have to light up with the flare. My first time through the game, there is an invisible wall in front of that door and I can't go up the stairs. If I quit to the main menu and then reload my last save and play through the sewer a 2nd time, then I'm able to go through that door and up onto the beach like normal.

But I can't figure out why on the first pass I can't get through there. Does anyone know what's going on? I tested the PS4 version (via backwards compatibility on my PS5) and this issue does not exist on that version. And I haven't been able to find this issue at all online. So I'm not sure how to even go about fixing it. I really want to speedrun the PC version of this game but having to repeat that level every time is killing my time.

well :D You most likly didn't find the reason for that, did you? I have the same issue, but for me the invisible wall is always there... i did not find a way to get through there...

Okay, i found a solution: It seems to be a graphical glitch and i could fix it with playing around in the graphic settings (i just activated everything :D). You do not to restart the game to walk through the doors afterwards

after a bit more trying: i need to activate v-sync to fix this issue for every run

Ok it was definitely Vsync being disabled that caused the glitch. Enabling it fixed the problem immediately so thank you for looking into that, it was driving me nuts

Did you start the level again after enabling the vsync? Did you have Vsync enabled on nvidia control panel too? Nothing happens for me when enabling vsyn still stuck at the door

You just make sure you enable vsync at the start of every new game. That's all I did.

For Nvidia Control Panel mine is set to "use the 3D application setting" so it's set to use whatever vsync is set to in each game. That's how mine has been forever.
