Inventory not working!

When I enter the Fourth Portal and take the path at the left, to where the scientist is, I cannot open my inventory anymore.
Did anyone face the same problems? And do you have any idea on how to solve it? It is really frustrating :/

I already tried restarting the game and my PC.

Have you tried pressing the "I" key? This should call upon the inventory.

I had the same bug during my playthough!!

I ended up using ESC to get to the settings so I could have the scroll for inventory turned on... since my knapsack was unresponsive. The "I" key is clearly the winner here. Thanks, Segoaban
