To anyone considering this game: Unless you're willing to put up with *literally* hours of setup before you can even create your character, I advise you stay far far away. It's not anywhere near an easy process, and it's damn near impossible to figure out without Google.

I had no issues. The update took a long time, like overnight. But that's about the worst of it.

I was refering to the process of creating the Square Enix account, selecting appropriate services, and obtaining a PlayOnline ID. Those things are not easy if you don't do a lot of research.

There is a forum on steam that literally walks you through everything. So anyone that seems deterred just look it up on Steam.

making a front page opinion that isnt totally true.. is bad for new players already thinking that game looks bad. if you have no idea about experiencing playing ff11 i strongly suggest you remove this post.

It would be worth the $40 if I could play it. They sold me a game with no cd key apparently.
