After many months of temptation to return to the game (haven't played since 2011!) I impulsively went to resub and BAM! Turns out SE flopped by switching to a low-rate credit-management company, and now people can't update or renew. Every alternative (crysta, steam wallet, etc) not working. I bought the game earlier today, and when it finished downloaded I was able to access the title screen, but whenever I tried to access the 'new character' option the game just crashed. I went into settings and enabled simplified character creation, which seemed to stop the crashing. However, now whenever I try to actually click on the select character option the game just instantly crashes. Does anyone know how to fix this?...

Just a reminder that FFXI has a classic fan server Horizon opening on December 17th 2022, which is basically going to relive FFXI from it's 2004 launch up until current content with a permanent level 75 cap, meaning the game-ruining 99 level cap set after Abyssea will be regeared to function entirely with level 75 gear, so all of your gear will be relevant forever. Bought the game and cant even attempt to long in. The account creation is needlessly complicated.

Is there anyway to find your log in information aside from the forgot username/password on the site? I've tried everything I can think of but its all a no go.
