Is there something wrong with the game itself?
Okay, so I can go as far to say this game is worse than the movie Troll 2. This was flat out insane and fairly terrifying. You start on a beach, you turn around, and oh look a house. What's in the house? A chess table that connects to other people for multiplayer gameplay. What's wrong with that? Well, for starters, it never actually connects to any person. I had my friend playing in all the right conditions (Opposite sex, same timing, same place, etc.) and it still didn't connect. This proposes that there might be something wrong? I don't know but if there isn't going to be anything done with it this game isn't going anywhere.
Playing this game is like forcing your computer to smoke weed mixed with LSD. Afterwards my computer was popping error codes and moving slower than the Galapagos Tortoise, my Firefox browser got dysentary, and Chrome turned to rust. I can't really show a lot of evidence to prove the game did this, and it probably wouldn't have a major effect on better computers. The point is this game was slow and lagged horribly.
Another thing: Dropping you in the middle of a beach with nothing but a house saying "Do whatever, be free! Fly away!" (Or something like that. I wasn't really paying attention, all it said was there was no goal) If there is no goal what do you expect us to do? Transform? Dig into the hearth of the Earth? Go to Woodstock much, developers?
My friend and I decided we would give this game a chance. We thought if it was bad enough it would be funny, and it was in a way. If anyone reading this has not purchased the game yet, don't think about buying it for another second. This is a true waste of money. However, if the game developers can update this MASSIVELY then this game could still have a chance. I don't know how game development works though so I don't know if this is possible.

TL:DR The game was weird, insane, completely laggy/slow, and it had no point. The multiplayer function doesn't work as far as I tried. Main point: Don't buy this game unless further notice is released that it will be fixed or updated.

Will there be any updates?

It is currently 75% off and it is still not in the top 100 best sellers of the last days, that should say something I guess. And you described the atmosphere and immersion correctly. There is a beach, a house and some other lagging objects on the beach and a chess board, thats it. Some vague words and sentences flying by, meaningless chess game (that tries to has an artistic meaning, that fails). The 75% off sale price should be the regular price (and then still be disappointed) then the 10 Euro's it goes for normally.
Why did you even buy the game? It's pretty obvious that it's not a game for you. One would think you'd know that before you bought it (actually I think you did) and then why do you complain about it being a waste of money? Don't you look the games (you buy) up before you buy them?

I heard about this game for at least a year ago and it was very clear to me that you just walk around on a beach, collect phrases along the beach (the waves bring them in), interact with things along the way and portray a love story. It was also clear that it was very different from other games and all about the experience of what was around you rather than a specific goal.

If you didn't know that and bought the game anyway you don't really have the right to ♥♥♥♥♥ about it afterwards. At least not tell others not to buy it just because you don't get it or like it.

You do have a point about the multiplayer feature though, it's really annoying, but it seems that is the only thing you noticed about the game before you gave up on it...
