At the bottom of the offical page, you can play the coffee shop section. In fact, you can put in your Steam-Cloud name and play, using everything you've collected in the game as well, if you already own the game.

Connecting here has got be through to other players much easier than trying to connect in game (mind you, once I had both open, and ended up connecting to myself. So at least I know my game connection is not broken. Just... never connecting.)

This is also a great way to see if you'd enjoy the experience.

Even if you bought the game, there's some interesting back story on their site.

I tried this the other day and it seemed to work, but today they seem to have disabled the steam cloud name entry and password entry buttons without comment. I think it does link you up faster in browser but without the in game progress it doesn't feel worthwhile (or even less worthwhile depending on how cynical one might be.)

Edit: heh, updating browser again and they've updated the text, no reference to the missing functionality now so I guess it's by design. Quelle dommage.
