Virtual Reality
Anyone testing out Rift, Cardboard or other DIY virtual reality with Next Car Game: Wreckfest?

I played with it a little bit using a head mounted cardboard setup made out of safety goggles, my moto g (not suggested, has poor motion sensors AKA no head tracking) but looked amazing aside. The program Trinus Gyre (needed on windows and android) worked great for me so far.
You can use either wifi or usb to stream, higher settings were easily achievable for me on a basic home network wifi. I couldn't notice any degration at that point.

I found playing in cockpit with the head mounted display in fake 3D was AMAZING.
Simply awesome experience, and on my birthday. I was sad I couldn't get head tracking however it's been a long time since I felt a real leap in my excitement and emotional involvement in a game. I've waited since I was a kid to -touch- VR.

Does Wreckfest support head tracking yet? If not, will it?

Please talk about your guys experiences using VR in game.
Any advice, applications or ideas you have to make the process easier for noobs like myself is encouraged and much appreciated.

See you on the race track.

Just about to purchase this, Assetto Corsa added official DK2 support today. I loved all previous Flatout games so I'm sure I will love this one, but if it gets V.R. support then it will be one of my most played games for sure.

I really think it must already be possible, 3rd party anyways.
With Trinus I didn't encounter an issues with games.
And it seems to be able to even map the motions to any mouse control.
Or simulate TrackIR, OpenIR and some other options even.

So in THEORY, a lot of your old fav racing games should work fine..
If not eventually at least.

I always wanted the track IR focused on a swivel seat, but it looks like I'll probably have VR glasses before I bother to do that.

Yea, I sported eyefinity for a bit but it makes no sense now honestly.

VR+Wreckfest=Pure Bliss. Make it happen BugBear!!! I think it would literally be the best game in VR at consumer launch.
