So if I don't really care about the control scheme, is it otherwise the same formula? Explore a world, complete missions, beat bosses, craft spells, all in no particular order?
Also, I must say I appreciate the quick and personal reply.
In the 2nd one you have to manage some survivor NPCs on the world map. Be sure to have enough food on your reserves, be sure to move them to secure enough tiles, make them fight map monsters that you cannot fight yourself, be sure to heal them with an active clinic and be sure to have enough scrap to convert abandonned building into something useful for your survivors. Also since you're seen as a traitor, you cannot recruit new survivors yourself, you have to send other NPCs to do it.
Also there are lots of other special building on the map you need to find/use/activate in order to progress. Every tile on the map is explained when you press the activate button, just check what the menu says before entering a tile.
Oh, one more thing...every tile you purify makes the game advance one turn, which means : every NPCs do their task, the difficulty of the combat is slightly "upped", the tiles are slightly less safe for NPCs (unless near a "housing"), the world map monster and Demonaica take their turns, and something Demonaica use some world map spells that may harm your survivors or prevent you from purifying some tiles. Also big problem...once a building is destroyed, it cannot be built again...good luck keeping all your useful building standing...
Well...the two games are quite different, yes.
