Design-It-Yourself Drones?

Quick question, when Carriers and Fighters/Mining drones become available, will they be a basic design or will the player be able to design their own? I think the latter would add a neat bit of customization and increase the utility of light fighters (which would drop off if everyone is flying around in massive battleships).

I see. So I will be able to fill my Carrier with the Fighters I've already designed?

I guess there will be a restriction of how many based on size, how would this be calculated. Physical size, Mass, Modules, Number of weapons, Or a comibnation of factors?

You will be able to design fighters, but not drones, they are too small. There will be different kinds of drones though.

Too small? Maybe make size 0 modules so the drones will be small enough?
