Well to be honest, i really had to get used to only left and right clicks after having all the nice button commands sitting at the bottom in SCUMM games, still miss those from time to time. Nontheless, it is pretty standard for over 10 years if i recall correctly, so i'm equally surprised that people don't instantly click the right mouse button in an adventure game.
But yeah, concidering how short the game was, I had to rely on a walkthrough too many times... I usually don`t need those at all. I remember the spots still;
-No problems at the desert section. I did get stuck at "find battery using portable energy source finder" for a good while, but with clicking I all of sudden cleared that too.
-Entering the Metropol was the best moment of game! (I didn`t get stuck at this part of course..)
-Argh. I didn`t notice one of the cars has a separate "trunk" hotspot.
-Argh. I didn`t realize I could go to the right at the sewers entrance.
-Argh. I missed the keycode for the bridge. I tried 187 but it didnt work- the Primer bot should
repeat the one hint he gives (50) until you get it. I went through that hint without paying too much attention to it while in dialog, and afterwards I didn`t have any access to that.
-Argh. I didn`t spot the floating stuff in front of the factory. I wish there was a little more visible visual to show the gold chain shining or something at least. Its too similar to all the other crap in the scenery. For example, finding the crystal in the beginning was not bad, since it actually shined among the scenery in your ship, even though the hotspot was small.
-Argh. I didn`t notice the robot to the left from the Arbitor (or whatever that judgebot was) I only walked to the door and didn`t realize you could go further left. Maybe my screen was too dark too, I don`t think I would have spotted that dead bot without a walkthrough?
-Argh.I didn`t see the ripped of arm of Scrapper after I had blown him off. Maybe my screen really was too dark for the game, it was hard to see?
-The info kiosk puzzle was too much fro me. I didn`t figure the ART part or LIES part. And after failing at those I didn`t even try the rest, just read all the way to the end since I had failed so baddly already at it.
For all of those I think I used walkthrough... most of them I felt were stains in a great game with a great setting. Missing hotspots is very irritating to me in adventure games. With more time and patience, I probably would have found most of them though. The info kiosk was a bit too vague puzzle imho, it felt like an easy puzzle for a programmer, but confusing for a normal puzzle solver ^^;. For future references, I think some other Wadjet games like for example Blackwell Legacys last part, had really, really good "search the internet with keywords" -type of puzzles!
Still liked Primordia for its good original setting and atmosphere. I would buy a sequel (hopefully a bit longer!) without a hesitation.
