Account Hacked?!?! AGAIN?!?!?!

Hello world,

I have been playing this gave for about a week, and in that week I spent a large amount of time collecting of weapons and items.

Today I logged in and noticed a new character created on my account - I shrugged it off as I made 2 new ones only yesterday with weird names to help a friend and thought I accidentally made a thrid.

I took my main character back to a safezone and to my surprise, allllll of my items were gone, except my chem light and flares.

HOW IN THE F**K CAN THIS HAPPEN???????

If anyone tried to use my steam account, it would have sent a code to my phone first right?

So they literally got into just my Infestation game account? I guess this game is stand-alone as well?

The fact that this could even possibly happen is so beyond brutal, I cant even believe it.

I really liked this game, and i was all about getting in the zone for a chance at sweet loot, I'm glad this happened after only playing a week so I didnt end up wasting months of time.

I've never had another steam game do this, ever.

Your lucky your not banned. I believe thats what happened to me and I got banned from my account. Hammerpoint will not help you if that happens. Change all your account info ASAP if you want to keep playing and good luck.

So Ive been looking up how to change my account info - If I bought the game through steam, is there no specific place to change the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ password?!?! I'd have to change my steam password? Thats the conclusion im reaching.

I cant understand why people spend the time to hack accounts on this game in the first place.

So I changed my steam password to something overly complicated, and played a few more hours last night.

To my surprise, I come back and find the person WENT INTO MY ACCOUNT AGAIN?!?!?!

How in the F is this even remotely possible?!?!?!?! Can someone advise if there is something im missing? Like if the game saves the first steam password but doesnt change/update it after a steam password change? Ive looked on how to change the password loading from steam and I dont see an option.

The character they made to steal my stuff shows another 7 minutes played - What the hell is happening that I cant even enjoy playing a game.

Steam Offline mode, restart steam then log off, Disconnect your internet connection, load steam again then launch infestation. should get the log in screen asking for login details. Maybe there is some reset or change pass option then, reconnect net try reset or login or go steam online, or change steam username and try again gl.

I'm not reading all that. But 90% you tried downloading a bad hack and got your CD key stolen.

it happened to me too. I have been hacked, can i do something about it?? it's only me game. my steam account, I want my money back for the game!!!!

By going into offline mode and starting up the game, I was able to bring up the actual sign in area with the "forgot password" option - I tried my old steam password and of course it worked.... DAMMIT! So I chose the "forgot password" option and it sent an email to change the password. I made the password something complicated and different from steam, and when I load it from steam it still signs in.... Hmmmm.....

I'll admit my steam password in the begining wasnt the best (6 letters name and 1 number) but i always knew that to get into my steam required a sequrity code to be verified by my phone for the new computer - So I guess thats where I let my guard down?

I submitted a request to look into the situation 2 days ago, ill post if I get a response,

Does getting the game through steam even produce a CD key? Probably I guess somehow and somewhere, but I can safely say I am hack free.

They could not have the password to my email - As my email goes to my phone and I would see a request to change password? I also didnt see an option to "send password" which would be the only way for them to get in and not change the password. This literally happened by either someone stealing my account info from the game, or someone who knows my email brute forced into my game account - Either way I've changed the password for sure at this point - Lets see how it goes

That option is not there when you load the game from steam - when you load the game in offline mode THEN you can see username/password screen.

That is thee only way to get it to show up - My email pass is quite different and like i said, all email pushes to my phone - Theres no one in my email.

Go to the WarZ site to change it man -_-. Your WarZ account has NOTHING to do with your steam account, and changing the password on your steam account wont effect anything. It's like if someone hacked your email, and you changed the password on your computer, instead of your email.
