You most likely deleted deleted you character on accident. I have done it once and my buddy has done it once. It sucks but it just means that we have to be careful and pay more attention. I still sometimes 'almost' delete' a character but I catch it beforehand.

change your password just in case

could just be your account did not sync correctly and it was rolled back

This happened to me recently, I have left my account alone and logged in every few days, updating my ticket as the BS progresses. My account has been hacked, there is a login when you first link your steam account but no where on the site can you login and change your password as far as I know it's only tied to your steam account, my steam account hasn't been compromised yet someone has control of my infestation account.

Missing vault items at first, random equpping of things on various guys, weird stacks of chemlights. Then most recently a character was deleted and shortly after that two more. I had around 10 hours into each character, couple thousand zombie kills oh and the only better backpack I ever found and an awp are gone... bla bla bla. The person on my account actually created a character named ANDREI2665 which I promptly deleted and made character names like GETHEFKOFFMYACT, FKOFFHACKERR, THISISNTYOURACT. I even bought the game again on another account because I enjoy playing but was hoping to provide accurate details and timeframes for all this, seems like a pointless endevour because there is a huge volume of tickets on their webzen helpdesk and mine are still awaiting review. So basically F off to anyone who thinks you deleted all 5 of your characters on accident, get real. I have never had an issue of almost deleting a character.
