You know the cigarette company Phillip Morris changed its name because the name had gotten so associated with negative press that they just decided to change the name? That's what the developer of WarZ, Hammerpoint, just did. This is Infestation: Survivor Stories but as early as last week (when it was on sale for 50% off) it was called WarZ.

You've heard of WarZ. The rip off version of DayZ, the free mod that took the gaming world by storm. Some lazy dev decided to quickly put together a cheap, bug infested, glitched out, hacker-filled game and call it their own. This game is it. Don't support crap, they will make crap. Support good things, so they make more of those.

WarZ = Infestation: Survivor Stories. Don't be fooled; the devs think you're stupid.

And Hammerpoint's business plan as told by a WarZ fanboy! Now he's throwing the game under the bus!

/facepalm. Far be it for me to defend those shady characters, but they had no choice but to change the name. Paramount had prior claim to the World War Z name and forced them to change it because it was too similar.

But otherwise yes, same game, new name.

ive played now since the steam sale and im yet to find a hacker.

re: bug infrsted / glitched out

still have not really had any problems. plays, runs, looks and sounds great

smooth as silk maxed out setting 1920x1200 and i have couple year old box. nothing fancy no sli.

re: support

it definitively not the same game they released over 6 months ago. lots of improvements, new stuff, bug fixes.

you can go to their website and check out all the patch notes and the dev diaries.

so your post comes down to more trolling/griefing. even the name change you misrepresent. its said when caedo has to correct you...


and from the looks of it a troll since there is definitively a pattern of the people creating thread with complaint upon complain most, if not all, of them so far have the game in their library.

i know they could have the non steam version, sure but im just pointing out that its definitively interesting

perhaps they should just get a steam key, since they have update the game and try it out. its not the 6 month old release they put out when all the hoopla happened.

i know it runs plays, runs, looks and sounds great on my box. i also know ive not run into a single hacker. i can also read all the hackers crying how they have gotten banned and how the updates to their cheats are not working with pb and being caught by pb. i see a bunch of trolls /griefering making post after post with the same garbage not one single new piece of information, and most of what they post is just invalid. they speak of a game that came out 6 months ago and not what people bought the other day. they need to run update, perhaps they cant because got banned hacking. i should do a string diff of the accounts names on warz hacking sites with this site, i bet the morons use the same names. would be funny... some fun stuff to do tomorrow. get half of you trolls /griefers banned. better change your usernames so they dont match...

We're not even trolling. That's the thing... we're veterans to this game who have been here since release. You've been here about a week and think you know everything.

Everything you just said is invalid because you haven't been around to see everyone else's perspective. You're too ignorant to do that and believe that you're own perspective is "right" and everyone else is a troll...


I can guarantee that you will run into a hacker within a month, and after the next patch you will run into problems and then start complaining.
