The Scam Z: My story of being scammed.

I just want to let people know what happend when I purchased the warz, before it was available on Steam. I bought it from the warz website. After realising how terribly awful the game was, i went on the forums, like many others did and asked for a refund, 20 minutes later my forum account was permanently banned... WTF!?`

So, I then went into my PayPal and requested a chargeback. I explained to them that I and MANY other people were very unhappy with the product and that they banned me from their forums for requesting a refund. Warz devs replied to my refund attempt on PayPal refusing a refund and writing a bunch of false information regarding non-existance terms of service at the time and that i had spent several hours playing the game when infact i spent little over an hour before I rage quited in utter disgust. A few days later I tried to log into my game account and found out that it had been permanently banned aswell.. FOR REQUESTING A REFUND?!
Then a few days later I got the ♥♥♥♥ing awesome news that my refund attempt had been declined... HGszfbhasf hsgbsdjkvbkhsaclvsbj\ bsdz vsdbvsaask

Hammerpoint Interactive are nothing but scammers and theives. Please don't fall for this scam like I and many others did.

Maybe the ban is a precursor to a refund as they do need to take access away. But most of the time people don't stay around long enough after a post like this.

You may be governed by local law - Here in the UK we can request a refund for any digital goods, and without a reason, within (i think) 7 days. Regardless of any terms and agreements I sign to the contrary. Check the equivalent digital goods acts in your country as you may find you have some protection as a consumer.

That being said lately Hammerpoint changed the TOS so perhaps you cannot get a refund once you download / install and agree to their terms.

Best part is, you can still ignore the TOS and play by hitting decline. I have never hit accept on my game. I've declined the TOS everytime.

During the 1st steam train-wreck, I called to get a refund... they said "you will have to contact your bank to cancel the charge."
So I did =).

What's extra cool about that is the company gets hit by a chargeback fee, varies by bank/card, but usually around 20 bucks. So Hammerpoint not only lost out on my 50 bucks but 70 when all was said and done.

It makes me all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it.

LOL, oh yeah dude. This is the last cash grab, after they get all the money they can, this game's customers are getting dumped like a roofied prom date. They have already announced working on another game.

Like you I bought the game before steam and was disgusted but instead of going to the official warz forums I dealt with it through Xsolla right away and managed to get a full refund within a few days without to much trouble.

Yes, we are safe here. Namely because Kewk and the other ban happy mods from the warz forum have no power here. Thank ♥♥♥♥ for that or we'd be perma' banned just for voicing an opinion. Utter scumbags.
