Do I personally think this game should be on steam? Of course not. But I understand WHY it is available here. Steam is a gaming platform after all and its reputation isn't in any way tarnished when it sells less than reputable games.
Valve have done as much as they currently can to correctly label games (early access, etc) so people don't get confused. They also explain, in detail, what certain things are, how they work and what YOU as a consumer can gain from using certain things.
The BIGGEST problem in this industry, which also happens to be reflected in every other industry as well, is that people simply DON'T do their research. Now I'm not talking about checking out a few videos and photos, that isn't research. I'm talking about actually going the extra mile, to ensure you are more than likely going to get a product/service that you are happy with, by using EVERY source available to you. The funny thing is, these sources are publicly available and free.
Too often people impulse buy because they like the look of what they see. How does that expression go again? Oh that's right, "never judge a book by its cover".
Realistically, if you can't grasp this concept, then you shouldn't be allowed to spend money, or even have it in the first place.
To answer the OPs question at the end: Why would you bring this to Valve? They aren't liable, nor responsible, for HP's actions. Not to mention that without solid proof that so many people have been falsely banned, there is nothing they can do about it anyway. It's literally your word vs HP/OPP. Good luck with that one.
i call to steam and they was informed that:
Olá Robson,
O Suporte Steam tem conhecimento limitado sobre jogos de outras empresas.
Por favor, siga as instruções do link abaixo para entrar em contato com a equipe de suporte do jogo com o qual está com problemas:

that isa ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ absurd...
thats what i personally think, because your post looks so wierd
Absolutely right, the only possible thing i could think about could be some virus on a computer causeing false detection but that is so vague and i dont really beliefe it, would be interesting to run a test about that.Basically i think that there are so many cheaters in internet that in some games there are more than 50% cheat there is no wonder that so much people get banned if a good and serious anticheat is used right and serious, not just as a alibi.
Infestation is now an really awesome game compared to the times when 80% cheater was shooting you every 2 mins, with the awesome and proffesional FairFight and strict anticheat politics you can see how a game can be playable even in internet, sometimes i forget that i am in internet thinking "hey this plays like in LAN party".
There is no false bans in this game noob, play something easier :D
and cry moar
I bought this game on summer sale on steam, just because I wanted to make some videos of it for my gaming channel. I did, less than 2 hours of videos, and that's exactly how much played time of this game I have in Steam. You can watch every single second of my playtime on YouTube and tell me where exactly did I cheat. Anyway, I forgot about the game for more that 2 months, now after I've read some of the updates they were doing on it, I decided to open it up on steam once again only to receive the message "your account was permanently banned". So basically I was banned for not playing 2 months -.-
yes , if so, then there are configuartion errors that might temporary ban someone wrongly, the "problem" on FairFight is , that it need someone who works seriously, has an real attitude against cheaters, and who is smart enough to configure FairFight RIGHT, i know from many people that was banned but even automatically unbanned .anyway i am 100% sure the most peoiple that cry about FairFight = crap are cheaters or stupid people that even write d o uch ebag wrong :D
Personally i think, "better 1 out of 10 false bans than a game full of cheaters"
And even if i would get a false ban wich i am sure wont happen, but should it happen i am sure a serious email to the support would help like it helped many others, so why do you "rage" about FairFight all? i know why....
I was like you, too secure, thinking that this would never happen to me, a legit player who even gave them free publicity through my 2000+ subscriber channel, but look where I am
Personally I think that steam should have *some* responsibility towards people who buy products on the steam platform, but just something like some basic requirement for a certain level of customer support from the game publishers, and if there are enough reports of bad or non-existant customer service, you'd hope steam would suspend sales of the game until the issues were addressed.
That, of course, is in my world of customer service expectations alongside the unicorns and rainbows :-/
They are still mis-selling (mis-describing) the game as having Two Modes: Normal and Hardcore in the store page key features for I:SS/WarZ and nobody seems to give a rats flange about that.
If you look at the Nether steam forums, it's deja vu. Like WarZ but without the lies and shady developers.
WarZ have done us all a favour, on every early release game people reference the WarZ and say things like "I'm hanging on and not buying your game yet, just in case its the WarZ all over again". A brush that all indie developers are now getting tarred with.
And they have actually managed to give FairFight a bad name just because hammerpoint can't configure it properly.
"Doing a Titov" ;)
This is what I was talking about. Yes Valve would lose "some" money, and by that I mean very little as people are basically aware now how bad this company actually is, I can't think they are selling like hotcakes on steam. I wouldn't rebuy this thing for one dollar on sale, hell they couldn't pay me to reinstall it at this point. That being said, I totally agree with Valve needing to uphold some type of standards on purchased games on thier platform. It not only makes hammerpoint looks like douches but also valve to a certain extent, and I hate that because I actually like valve a lot as a company. I just wish they would do something about this kinda grabage on thier platform is all. I actually feel robbed by hammerpoint and I can't do anything about it.
