Keep getting this error when I try to join any server yet it won't update to whatever version I need to actually play.

It's off a fresh download after having been uninstalled for a while.

What can i do to actually play the game?

Verify Game Cache: Infestation: Survivor Stories>Right click>properties>verify game cache

I did that and it did nothing, still getting the same issue that the client needs to be updated.

The last update was from January 29th, so I'm curious why it's not letting me play the game.... very odd.

Went to verify game cache, and it said "3 files were corrupted and will be downloaded" (or something like that), and when the download is finished, it appears again "client needs to be updated" when I'm trying to join a server. I'm downloading the same 3 files for the 4th time now.

unless the servers are down for patching but all the servers had a ton of people on them.. oh well, lets see after the patch today if it fixes the issue.

well I just bought this game and im getting the same issue fallowed ur directions. it worked then when i go to reaload it again i have to reverify how do i fix this problem for it goes away and i can actually play the game?

game is now connecting but saying the servers failed, I"m about to just uninstall again and say I got my 15 dollars worth for the 67 hours I did play of it before.

I'm sure the melee nerf is still in full effect and killing zombies wouldn't be fun anymore.

man i just want to play the game saw it got stocked now i can't load it and even when i do i get maybe 5min of gameplay then another error

so is it the game or punkbuster complaining u need to update

if game u just verify game cache and run game it should update on its own

if it does not try doing tracert to server

if wireless make sure u have good signal strength

look in router/firewall logs

look in windows application/system logs

perhaps internet security suite blocking it...

add the game and set game path to
