I just want Ice and Blood

I bought Sacred 2 ages ago and I love the hell out of it. Is there a way to just buy the expansion without having to re-buy the entire game?

I'm not too bothered by the lack of multiplayer as I never played it much online anyway. I just think it would be nice if there were at least a discount or something for previous owners of Sacred 2. I already own like 3/4 of the game and I've waited years for the expansion to drop in the US.

They removed the online multiplayer aspect of the game, considering the servers shut down early this year. However, someone confirmed that the LAN option is still enabled, so that means you can hop on to Hamachi and play in a virtual network.

As for just buying the expansion, it looks like this is the original EU version. Since Ice and Blood was only released in the EU, it wasn't compatible with the US version of Sacred 2. I suspect this is still the reason, and why there's no option to just buy the expansion

You can't get the expansion by itself if you live in NA, at least you couldn't when I bought the game a year or so ago. I bought the UK version of the expansion and then had to edit a few things to get it working on my machine. Why...I have no idea.

Deep Silver community manager here. There's no way to only buy Ice & Blood on Steam. Because Ascaron is no longer here and because of various distribution shenanigans at the time of release, our only option was to put the last Sacred 2 Gold version we had on Steam to get the game back on Steam.

On the upside: DRM has been removed. If you own Sacred 2 already, you will also get a 50% discount at checkout. Right now it's already 50% off because of the Steam sale, but should you miss the sale for some reason, you'll still be able to get the Gold version for half price.

That sucks , 4,99€ for everyone who ownes Sacred 2 would be a nice upgrade Price but not 10€.
I payed for Sacred 2 only 7€ i think in the last sale , where is the point of it, to pay now 10 € for a addon ?

Guess it's time to wait for 75% off then , greedy publisher.
