Why is the MP as dead as desert?
I find it strange that all the activity and MP requests here in the forums that have been made, and now there is literally no one in the game now that the MP is off from the Beta state:D

It's fun as hell. Why no one wants to play it?

Netcode for coop sucks and needs to be fixed, too bad this is one of two games i bought for coop that lack good netcode.
Netcode is fine, but highly dependent on the host and other players network quality/distance from host :/

fine in your eyes, but to the normal people who want to play with friends No.
Playing coop in the same state with 20meg download and 6-10 meg up, still having hiccups= fine and playable, sure.

Lol, I give up on reading any info on this game's MP for ~9 months and come back and see it's as much a cluster#(%*& #%*&show as ever. Amazing. Bravo for swindling everyone who bought this exclusively for MP.
well maybe because nobody wants to get kicked hardly?! lol. Netcode is not a problem, it's the game which is faster than nothing else. Every time the ping is up 0,5seconds it is noticeable but still playable using early shots, anticipating moves of the others... till reach 1 seconds or worse which is unplayable. Now, many things can happen to steal all bandwidth: antivirus autoupdate set on auto set manual please on put antivir in game mode (new av have the option), other software, shared lan, p2p software, and so on. Also cheap isp are known to make u pay more for fast ping (needed for gaming and for phone over ip). Still netcode could be optimized but miracles cant be done, maybe some packets arrive in bad order and cause lag, the netcode should be optimized to support today's networks standards and best practices.

3drealms made the netcode work great in the XBLA release, i have no idea why it does run poorly on pc, maybe termit could have contacted 3drealms and asked how they fixed the netcode for the xbla release and apply it to megaton.

It's not about connection speed, it's about connection quality, where who's hosting the game is the root cause for a good or bad game

Since there aren't a lot of active players, i don't see why we need a kick button. There are better things to implement to this game.

"yeh! dont need a kick button since i can kick your bottom" ... this is meaning.
The desert is actually the host of much reptilian life :/
