If you still need help figuring out which blocks to look for, there's one particular type of room that has three monkeys behind a wall; the kicker is that about half of said wall is made of these type of blocks, so take a close look before blowing it open (given, there's no fairy but it'll give you a good idea of what to look for).
Edit: My apologies; upon reexamination it appears that the shape of the crack will vary with the tileset currently in use. Even the colour may appear as more of an off-white at times. Regardless, the cracks are almost always uniform in width and the shape they form typically takes up most of the tile, so it's still not too hard to spot them.
