only male yak has died
My only male Yak has died after an attack so how do I get another one? (I don't know if it matters but I have 2 females now and it's highly unlikely that they turn lesbian and get babies that way...)

You will need to trade for one. IIRC they cost 500. To trade you will need a market stall and invite an ambassador to your settlement. The wiki will give you more information.

Depending on when your yak died the females might be pregnant already. If they are u might get a male from it, if not trading will do. They're 500 starting out for a merchant kingdom, but only 400 starting for agricultural kingdoms.

I have no idea what you mean with merchant/agricultural kingdom so sorry about that hehe. And for some reason I got a new male yak without doing anything??
If you go under kingdom. you will see the tab called diplomacy. Click on it and you will see other kingdoms. When you look at them you are looking for a merchant or agricultural kingdom. click on the name and click send Ambassador. In a few days they will show up. Make sure you have a room set up for them and they are happy. Once they settle in they will start to send traders to your kingdom. Have a Market Stall set up so the trader can use it and trade with you. Just click on the stall when a trade is on it and click Market stall and the window will open. I hope this helps

Your female yaks were probally pregnant and it gave birth to a male yak.

Like syphin mentioned, as your kingdom pogresses you meet other kingdoms and can host ambassadors. This opens up trade with these kingdoms. Some kingdoms have specialties. Agricultural kingdoms give seeds, plants, and animals at a cheap price. Mining kingdoms give a better price for ore, ect ect. Marketstall is a must for trade.

Thank you!! I always wondered why no traders came even though I had the stalls ^^;

A trick I use early game: even though ambassadors need a room to stay, even if you don't have one set up they will be followed by a merchant (as long as you have the stall). You can use this to host an ambassador for 5 days or so, a merchant comes within that time, trade for things you need/want to get rid of, then they both leave. You can do this as often as you want, as well.

Ahh, so I don't háve to get them a room, but if I do, does it matter what it looks like?? Or can it just be a dirt shack? xD
At first they only require a room with privacy (four walls and a door), but quickly want a room of a certain value, usualy around 400-700. Decorating walls and floors, a bed, dresser, cabinet, and maybe a statue should do this. Also, just a warning, they will eat and drink you out of house and home if you're not careful :P

Ahh, I'm struggling with the food situation all the time so I'll wait some time before I do it then xD (Still just a beginner at this game, hehe)
