* Enter nvidia control panel and create a new custom resolution at 59 hz. For example, 1920x1079@59hz (in my case, 2880x1799 for downsampling in a 16:10 monitor)
* Winkey + R and "regedit"
* Search for HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Activision\Deadpool
* Edit ScreenResolution with new resolution. For example
Width:1920 Height:1079 Fullscreen:1
* Start game and load a savegame.
* After loading screen, game will reset resolution to nearest 60 hz in resolution list.
* Pause game, return to main menu and enter screen options.
* Now, new 59hz resolution will be visible in resolution list. Select it.
* Load game and you'll play at 59hz-59fps completely smooth.
If it doesn't help you, you're doing something wrong.
BTW, Deadpool is dead in the steam pool. Double sad.
I don't want a fix for making it smoother, I want to run it at whatever fps my system can handle. Pretty simple.
Workaround I posted is only a fix for Deadpool judder in 60 hz monitor for people that use vsync ON (because don't like tearing).
You said:
"I have tried using a custom resolution and it does not help. Like most UTE games, it is the frame rate smoother that is capping it."
I'm talking about that custom resolution. Yes, it helps, because avoid 59 fps cap judder. And no, it's not frameratesmoother what's limiting framerate. If it was frameratesmoother, videos will be limited to that framerate too. That variable in UE works in a general way.
-silent FPS=60
If you're still getting judder, try disabling v-sync in-game and forcing through your graphics card drivers.
Thanks :)
Thank You!
