wanted to buy fall out 3 and new vegas
but people had problems with windows 7 already so before buy.....
what's going on with windows 8 / 8.1 for these 2 great games???
Once that was done I did an update, logged into my live account once to make sure it was working.
Then when my Fallout 3 download completed, I started that up, it went through some install bits.
I was expecting to try and debug loads of problems to get it work (according to all the posts on the subject) and well was suprised that it wasn't just running without any hitches but currently no bugs or crashes. (The XBOX 360 version was plagued with them)
Edit: I'd suggest running the game intself (not the launcher) in Vista (sp 3) compatibility mode, otherwise you'll find you can't drop items using a controller.
I found that if you run it in Vista compatiblity once, drop some items and save. Then remove compatiblity from it, the ability to drop items stays.
