Brink crash to desktop with no error

Usually it crashes after about 5 mins of gameplay but when im in the menus trying to choose a mission and what not it crashes even sooner. Please help!

I went to AMD's website and downloaded the driver auto-installer and ran it twice, I really don't think it's that.

I put some link for Brink support there:

I just reinstalled this game and I am having this problem. A couple minutes of gameplay and I get booted to desktop. It doesn't make sense, I have 181 hours played on this game, never had an issue before.

Anyone have any ideas?

It seems to me like a problem solved long ago, I think there was an ATI card error. Download the latest Brink version again and update graphic drivers.

This was just a month ago now, so everything is the latest of course. If it's a specific problem or bug causing an error, that I guess that could be it. But beyond updating all drivers, I don't know what else to try.

Well Steam says I have 181 hours played in Brink, so yes I think I downloaded it from Steam. :)

And yes, I have Windows 7 64bit..

Try delete local contents for Brink and download and install game again. You certainly have an ATI card, so first install the latest drivers. This is tipical error for old ATI drivers or (and) Brink instalation without latest patches. Many problem is occured on Windows 7 32 bit, but you don't have this.

I have similar problem on one of my PC with ATI card but solved long time ago with Windows 7 64 bit and upper solution.

Hmm, if the information in your post is accurate, then the real question is why the problem is still happening on a system with the latest drivers and game patches. According to you, I shouldn't be having this problem at all. Very strange.

Perhaps it's just a corrupt installation. I will try uninstalling, and then manually deleting any remaining files. Then I'll try reinstalling. We shall see. :)

Brink is broken for some users

I experience a consistently occuring crash during the second level of the Security Campaign, during second phase, every time
no fix as of yet, when the crash occurs the screen freezes but it never goes to an error screen

EDIT: I experienced no crashing during training courses, and when I do crash during the specified circumstances my PC becomes unresponsive and I'm forced to reboot

The safely remove hardware and eject media button caused my Brink to crash. Crashed on the external and crashed on the hard drive. Oddly enough that was the problem (strange). After finding something that would replace it. I had no crashes. I would also take a look at the device manager to see if there are any errors in there.
