War without giant hunting

Just wondering if there's any way to have war between villagers without soon after the first few wars the people start hating you and hunting the giants. If you defeat the armies constantly then they're supposedly 'punished' and turn peaceful when I want them to war with other villagers.

Any solutions?

it is to trick to increase their greed to around 4-5-6 but not beyond, because then they go attacking your giants. It is very possible and have done so myself
