Version 1.02 Now Released
Hi everyone,

Now that we've had a few weeks of testing and stability, it looks like it's time to share the many improvements in the 1.02 beta with everyone in the main branch. Those in using the main release of the game should see a new update with the following changes:

Bug fixes:

* Several crashes and desync problems have been addressed

* Controls menu: More than 2 controllers are now supported (the 3rd and beyond control player 2), a problem was fixed when using the mouse to reassign game controller buttons, and button assignment will still work even if you have "stuck buttons" on your controller. (This last problem would affect the ability to reassign buttons on PS4 controllers, amongst others.)

* Graphics Setting menu: A potential seam in the demo sprites has been fixed, the Border option will now properly reset when you choose to restore defaults, and a problem has been fixed where it would sometimes say "CUSTOM" for the resolution even though you were using a preset.

* A further minor adjustment to keyboard controls.

* A safeguard has been added to stop the unlocked content from relocking in rare circumstances.

* Other minor UI adjustments.

New features:

* Added option to show inputs in Practice Mode screen (see "SHOW INPUTS" on Practice Mode's pause menu)

* The CONTROLS menu includes a TEST option (press [SP] or click on it) which will show you your inputs as you make them. This can help people test and practice HCF/HCB techniques if you are having difficulty with your keyboard.

* A new option in the NETWORK SETTING menu has been added that allows you to turn on an optional HUD element that will tell you what your current INPUT DELAY is in online games.

* A command line switch called "-norescan" has been added that will stop the game rescanning for game controllers once launched. If you find controllers disconnecting or changing assignment, try this option. It is activated by right clicking on the game in Library, selecting Properties, clicking on "Set Launch Options..." and entering "-norescan" (all lowercase, with the leading dash) in the Launch Options popup and clicking "OK". You may disable it by going to the same popup and deleting "-norescan".

* The game will make a sound when someone joins your lobby if you are hosting.

We'll let everyone know when the next beta is live, but as of today (January 19th), all branches should be up to date for everyone. The next beta feature planned is the direct UDP netcode option.

Color edit would be superb, however I'm happy you guys keep improving the game as well as continue to fix some of the flaws! :beginners:

At NeoGeo Mode, EX characters don't have different portrait, only could tell by command lists, will you fix it?

When standing to the left of the Japan stages, there are extra pixels over your head when cars pass. Not sure if it's 1,2, 3 or all of them. You check :p

Sad to see the game has -mixed- reviews, you guys have been doing a great job since launch. Hope it picks up.

As Saikyo mentioned in the other thread, this is not a bug. It's the way the Neo Geo version was, and Neo Geo mode is supposed to show you how the original was. The improvements are in the UM mode.

Thank you very much for the updates and new features.

Dont know if its something hard, but can you put a option to "simulate" delay on training mode? If I remember well GG XRD and other arc system games has it, and it helps if you want to train thinking with "netplay matches" in mind. Also the input showing is fine on training, if you could do something like melty blood current code that shows for how many frames the button has been held on the "input show" could be nice.

About netplay, if I remember it doesnt show a "score" of total wins and lose with your opponent no? It shouldnt be complicated.

Again thanks for the hard work. Hope SNKP can give more help (and budget) in your next ports.

Is possible in a future update clean the sprites by green pixels?
some sprites on victory screen are not well cleaned

in practicemode starting life-recovery is toooooooo late!! It's annoying to wait opponent's recovery.

Should everyone right now just play on the main branch and wait until you have the UDP netcode beta ready and give people the option to opt in? I'm asking this because the game is split between main branch and beta testers making it hard to find games.

You can also just press a button to instantly reset(it's in the practice menu). It's not a solution, I know.
A save state feature like USFIV/Skullgirls/AH3 would be apreciated.

The matchmaking isn't split anymore. When everyone updates to the main branch, they'll be able to match against the current beta. We only separate them when the netcode stops being compatible between main and beta.
