Steam for Linux

Steam for Linux

Which Steam title would you most like to see ported to Linux next?
Once Steam for Linux launches, there will already be a few Linux titles in the Steam store. However, there are obviously many, many more titles for Windows and Mac in the store which are not available on Linux. Which of these would you most like to see ported next?

If a favorite emerges, someone should set up a campaign to allow people to throw money at their screens, such that these money can be offered to the developers of the given title if they agree to port the game. Not only would that result (if all goes well) in a sweet new title on Linux, it would also raise awareness among other developers that Linux gamers mean business.

Call of Duty.
No, I'm not kidding.
Think about this for a second: If Activision ported their flagship game to Linux, don't you think that it will make other developers open their eyes?
Or at least, it will be a milestone in Linux gaming development, as much as I dislike the game and its fanbase.

I would like to see the Counter-Strike series ported to linux especially Global Offensive.

Besides portal and portal 2 being ported soon by valve itself, I'd like to see and then buy ported Bioshock series.

However I would gladly drop my favorite for the sake of something big to be ported and held as milestone just like Ryan described before. For the sake of big serious porting to linux!

It's quite useless to port old games. It's much better to focus on new games. And that's what exactly kickstarter is doing now - at least 4 big titles in next few years are bulletproof linux supported and at least 1 maybe-AAA title yet to decide about linux support.

With steam and steamworks on linux it would be much easier for developers to make a decision, especially for those who already are active Steam developers.

Valve porting it's own games on Steam is a good start (and easiest one), but I'd rather see them helping others adopt and port new games on early stages of development, not trying to convince developers to port their old games on linux.
I love Sid Meiers Railroad and even though it does play quite well under Wine, I would much rather have a native Linux port of it.
