As of right now every single game they've ever made has a Linux port so I doubt they'd stop any time soon. On top of that they've been in the Humble Bundle I think twice so far with the original Penumbra: Overture.
So as far as Linux support they are pretty much a gold standard, not bad for a team of like 3 Swedes that decided to lock themselves in the basement and make some of the scariest games ever.
About the Linux version:
Actually it's not a port. The whole HPL2 engine is multi platform and uses OpenGL.
I can't wait for this game. The Dark Descent is awesome and this is going to be even better.
There's no custom story support? Damn! And I was hoping for mods directly through Desura. :(
Well.... there is almost always a way to Mod any particular game, its just easier with official support and kits to do so.
