They tested it on Ubuntu and only since 2 weeks? have other distro's try it too.
I am very happy how well it works already, but they need to iron out some things first.
When TF2 is working without any issues, they are probably gonna release steam.
Then they might have an idea on how long it wil take them to port other games too.
The fact Valve had LFD2 running faster on Linux then on Windows, does noet mean its ready to be shipped to us.
However, it would be nice to have something similar for games that already have Linux versions that are not yet avilable on Steam.
