Weird.......
Started using steam as soon as it went public beta.
Granted, I haven't been playing TF2 for very long (I started playing against actual humans during the Pyroland event), as evidenced by my inventory: http://steamcommunity.com/id/technogeek/inventory#440 , but I would have thought I would have received Tux, since I did play the native Linux version of TF2 (not in CrossOver or WINE) during the specified time period.
Thanks for letting me know that it wasn't an Ubuntu-only thing (that would have been quite nasty of VALVe).
I guess I'll just have to live without Tux in TF2. :-(
At least I have my plush Tux here IRL on my computer desk.... :-)
Other than contacting Valve support one more time, I can't think of anything else you can do except trade for Tux with someone else. I'm sorry you didn't get one.
I'll see if there is any post on GitHub about this.
