Euro Truck Simulator 2 - beta test interest?

SCS appears almost ready to deliver a beta of their Linux port of Euro Truck Simulator 2. Would anyone be interested in participating? I am NOT speaking on the company's behalf. Just trying to gauge interest before pitching it to the company.

I sent them an email to ask about it. Will report back. If we could get early access to the beta, it might be fun to kick around. That sim is friggin brilliant.

Yeah this sim is awesome. I would never be a truckie IRL but the game is just so FUN and REALISTIC.

CMon devs bring it to steam ;D

I sent them an e-mail last month asking about the beta, and sent them a tweet last week asking about progress on the linux port. Zero responses on either.

Personally I'm starting to lose hope that it'll happen any time soon based on their lack of responses.

They announced a linux version in september 2012.
No new updates until January where they were "almost finished"

I assume the next announcment or release will be around April or Late Late March.

Mabey they take too long but I really want ETS 2 for linux. I got Diablo 2, AOE 2, DOOM and san andreas and WoW Working NATIVELY in wine (right click -> openwithwine -> woot) ETS2 is the only pain in the ass to get working.

Hope the port comes soon!

Speaking about failing with time estimates, we are tempted to claim that the Linux version of ETS2 is now less than two weeks away from being ready for release. Didn't we say it was two weeks away from release several months ago already? We are bad at estimates indeed, and we shouldn't give in to temptation yet again. A truck simulator ain't worth $40. Besides wasn't it like $20 normally?
