VD - Hollow fight question

During the second and third stage of the bossfight, Hollow will make a combo ended with a Killer Bee attack. My question is... is this attack supposed to be homing? 'cause for me, it is. Tried on Nephilim and Sons of Sparda difficulties.

Not really. This attack is supposed to be homing but only if you are being late with your moves. You just need to learn the pattern. This fight is really easy when you know how every attack works. Difficulty level won't make any difference ( at least for me ). Just try to delay your dodge/evasion, that's all. Also, jump&glide can help a lot.

His killer bee homes and seems specically tuned to be undodgeable.

BUT, you can jump over it easily. Just remember to jump instead of dodge and you'll do just fine.

Well, you can always get out of range, if fast enough. I dunno about jumping over it, I have recorded footage of it following me up

An interesting thing you can do to avoid the killer bee combo is to dodge up when he rushes you, down when he rises, and then follow up with a perfect charged rising star to counter his bee. since your perfect charged attack has higher damage/hit priority, it basically stops the attack before it can land, and even then the range of the killer bee gets cut short, lower your odds of being struck.
However, the best approach to beating hollow vergil during any phase is to consecutively chain perfect charged attacks in any sequence you feel is necessary, coupled with storm swords.
This is how I took this boss down in a no damage VmD waverush I never got around to finishing.
