"Some things don't have a deeper meaning"
Does anyone feel like Alexander Bruce directed that sign to the game itself? That the game doesn't have a deeper meaning? Discuss.

The signs allude to the puzzles. This particular sign shows up in two places. One right after Red Cross, and in that location it means that the blue cube in the next room doesn't have any meaning. This sign also shows up at Being An Entrepreneur, where the "Under Construction" door literally means that the area is under construction; the game is still being worked on.

I know both of those things. But maybe the sign was also directed to the game itself.

It's a game about life... of course the game has a deeper meaning, so the sign has nothing to do with it.

Antichamber used to be called "Hazard: The Journey of Life" in it's pre-release, beta, and alpha. It was a UT3 mod back in the day.

I think that the game does not have too much of a deeper meaning. The only thing i think that had meaning is That clock thing that is ticking away and spells life. Humans age and will die over time. But that clock will forever remain constantly ticking as your life fades away. Well as long as you leave the game running for that long Besides that the game itself, challenges your persecution of reality. Parts of its reminded me of the ending of 2001 A Space Odyssey You know when Bowman looks at his future self at different locations in that room and he then becomes that character. Sort of reminds me of those windows in the anti-chamber that reveals a different location. So you have close enough to them that it fills up your screen and when you walk back you are there, on the other side Other than that i did not get too much from the game.

Yup But everything is up to speculation http://i.imgur.com/3G5TcQe.png People like to make meaning from nothing. I am not saying that the game does not have a deeper meaning. But people do this all the time.

Original name was Hazard: The Journey of Life... the game is meant to be a big metaphor for life; it has a deeper meaning than just being some random exploration game.

And just as more of a confirmation that is is a big metaphor for life... an interview with the dev... he says it around 1:40 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7HnE-LNk98

I understand the metaphor for life thing, but, as in deeper meaning, I mean, the things such as the black cube. I'm saying it might not have a deeper meaning as in a storyline. A lot of people in the steam threads thought the black cube actually meant something. But maybe the black cube doesn''t have a deeper meaning and so therefore that's what the sign also stands for.

All I'm saying is my thoughts.

The Black Ghost *IS* the storyline... It's the whole reason that the game is a metaphor for life.

What does it explain? It only links to the general discussion page, and anything involving the meaning links to this broken link.
