Interactivity/sim elements?
Do they exist in this game?

I hated Dear Esther because it just seemed like a story you were being told which never changed no matter what the girl you controlled did. If I want that I'll read a book or watch a movie. Is this game the same or does the world change a bit depending on what you the player do?

And is every game exactly the same or does it have replay value? (another problem with Dear Esther)

It's not really a game. You walk around an island and different places on the island produce different soundscapes, so walking around is sort of like playing the island as a musical instrument. There are four different seasons, each season offers different sounds. More of an experimental piece of interactive software than a videogame.

There are secrets that trigger in the game when you are in various areas of the island at specific times. The fun is in discovering them.

Way to miss the point of Dear Esther completely
