Crashes almost immedeately after starting up. Help!

Recently Bought hotline miami on sale and started it up (I'm a Mac user, btw) after clicking play, it would start getting started up, then just not work, forcing me to force quit out of it. I've searched, and haven't found any answers online as to how to solve this. I'm not sure if this is a bug, or just something wrong with my computer, but I really need somebody to help.

This is happening to me too. I am a mac user and it just closes imedietly after start up. Its really annoying.

Same as the previous comment, just with better grammar.

Edit: updated my graphics driver to the most recent edition, verified the cache and it doesn't do anything different...get to the Devolver intro screen and the game CTDs.

Here's a fix for the launcher crashing problem for anybody running the game with a Mac:

For anybody having trouble with the launcher crashing with the Mac version of the game, just go into
Users/"YourMacUsername"/Library/Application/Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/hotline_miami/
then right-click the application and click "Show Package Contents" and go into Contents/MacOS and then click YoYo70_Original. The game should launch without the launcher and in the original gamemaker version. Enjoy!

I just purchased this game today. After it installed i tried playing it but it just freezes after a few logos. To be specific, it freezes at the Dennation logo, the two parts of the face never meet up. I updated my geforce drivers and it did nothing. I hope there is a fix or they resolve this soon.

Managed to fix the problem, somehow. Tweaked some settings for my Nvidia card which are in the bugfix thread for Shadow Warrior.

• Right-click on game in library -> Properties -> Local files -> Browse local files.
  
• Find "crash.log".
  
• Go to "C:\Users\<Username>\Documents\My Games\HotlineMiami".
  
• Find "debug.log".
