Difficulty Masks

Do I need to just finish the core Payday missions on each difficulty for the respected mask, or do I need to finish the DLC ones too?

You have to finish EVERY heist (including all pro jobs and yes, DLC) to get the masks.

You need to finish all missions, DLC included.
Also, you must be in lobby for it to count as won. I.E, joining 5 seconds before victory will count +1 in the screen, but not for the achievment.

Escapes and Train Heist dont count, everything else does as long as you are there from loadout to payout.

you must do every single heist in the game (except the train heist) (escapes are not heists) you also have to complete the new shadowrain heist :)

Do you have to own the armored transport dlc or just have to complete them? I've completed everything and I haven't gotten the mask but my buddy has. Though I'm starting to think I may have dropped during a heist, could that be the issue?

Just need to do them, you don't need to own it. If you don't do the heist from the very beginning and joined mid-game or dropped, you gotta do it again yes.

Just go to the Contract Broker and there you can see every heist and in which difficulty you already accomplished the specific heist.
I think for several day heists it´s just important to be in the lobby of the last day but i´m not sure about that.
