Moderator: Explaining censorship claims and how we work.

Right so i'm seeing a lot of people claiming that we're trying to censor users. This really isn't the case at all and i wanted to take a moment to explain why.

We follow a set of rules, no spam/harasment/insults/racism/sexism of any kind.

The most common rule being broken right now is spam, i understand a number of users are unhappy. Personally i have my own issues with the update. That said we can't simply "live" in chaos either. We already have a thread pinned for people to express their concerns.

If you're going around and using Ctrl + V in threads for your "cause" you will be banned for spam. Everyone has a voice and its not about shouting the loudest. It's about being civil and all explaining why you are unhappy. If we have 5 users going around spamming and "shouting" ten times as much as everyone else, nobody can make sense of each other.

Another one is insults, happy or not it's not okay to throw insults around at the developers or other users. Defending overkill or not, insults and harassment are NOT okay. Just because you see someone banned who complained about Overkill doesn't mean its censorship. We would have had a valid reason to ban them so the people who remain civil can be heard.

'Insults and harassment' have a broad and conveniently applicable definition, especially when the content in question is directed towards the developers, we've been shown.

Edit: At the risk of getting banned for "Insults", Noone's buying this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This is damage control, plain and simple.

I genuinely don't understand why people are trying to offend me by calling this damage control? It IS damage control, yes. Of course it is. I don't understand why that is a bad thing. I'm trying to get people to calm down and be more civil. So yeh..
