The Gigomat Challenge
Named after a guy I loved to play with who hated crutch skills so much. Actually the guy who encouraged me not to rely on it and go big. (Even though I use some of those skills with some build. But thats pretty much to keep up with the others.... you know how people are if your build aint "up to their standards".)

For who is this challenge?
Any veterans who would like to see our everyday clutch skills nerfed.

Why?
Making a stand, we got to show Overkill how bad this insanity goes.

Yes but... what the hell is the challenge exactly?
Simple. Read the rules.

---Rules---

1) Play on DW/OD LOUD

2) Can use ANY skills but dodge is not allowed. the 5 percent dodge from suit well its fine.. Can't do♥♥♥♥♥♥about it.

3) Suit ONLY

4) Perk Deck can either be Armorer or Hitman. What will you choose? Very fast regen or grace period? Both will have their perks but both will deal with a way inferior armor gating than anarchist. Having only bulleye to gate (unless you choose otherwise).

---Overall Idea---
To show Overkill those skills are way too much powerful when used in combination. With the revenant tree and the number of medic bag we can carry I believe it is possible. I started practicing so I don't get down every 2 seconds. Keep in mind you can basicly get 2 shot killed just like a dodger. But no dodge. My advice? Take something that hit HARD and fast. Better be good with headshot.

If you want you can post a screenshot / video of you doing it. Or not. It's just for fun and to show people around here we aren't just talking out of our asses.... especially show to Overkill

------ Addentum ------
This challenge would be hard for the average gamer. If you feel it isn't hard enough nothing forces you not to add more self-imposed rules. The idea behind this thread is to complete some challenges that highlights the very broken nature of the revenant tree. I encourage everybody to do the adjustments they wish if they want to push the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t even further. I am no OD pro, far from it. I play it since only less than 2 weeks and still am barely able to make the difference between some of the zeal units. Causing me issues in evaluating a dangerous situation. So keeping that in mind... The fact that I've been able to do so much with so little defense on top of literally "clutch-gating" my way through should raise a big red flag for overkill to see. This is the whole reason I made this thread. I gave the name of a player who helped me out reaching DW level of abilities to this challenge. Far before OD was released. The same guy I played DW+ with and had a blast. But, one thing he would never do to anyone is talk down to someone in behalf of his skill level. I'd prefer if this behavior of his could be shared here by the people participating. If anything, to respect the team spirit the guy has. Thank you.

So suit with no dodge. On OD. I suppose if you have enough doctor bags to drip-feed yourself it might be possible.

And FYI, armorer's regen speed doesn't really help you in a fight when enemies can eat through your armor in a single shot. You'll be completely stuck to cover, even with the two-second swan song armorer gives you.

And going on hesits like Goat Simulator or Brooklyn bank is outta the question.

Ever played Swat 4 or any tactical shooter on high difficulty? You can definatly get one shotted there. What I am suggesting is basicly the same thing except that there is more bad guys to be wary of. I'm not forcing anybody to do it and if you are just trying to discredit the challenge because the idea of having those skills nerfed piss you off... Feel free to ignore the thread. If you are right, nobody will do it successfully anyway.

A good point. Except you're missing one vital detail.

This game doesn't play like SWAT 4. It plays like Left4Dead where the zombies found guns.

Again, not saying it's impossible. But it just feels like less of a challenge and more of a test of how long can you hold cover before the cops swarm you and eat your ass like a dipshit soufflé.

Its actually to prove that those skills alone can carry a team. It will be BRUTALLY hard. Im not hiding that to anybody. Will take many tries and it will be most likely as annoying as a 100 bags run of cook off. But it is to prove a point. And if overkill listens, it will all be worth it.

Well I did say DW too. If somebody can do it on OD its even better. My personnal objective is DW.

We did Tabula Rasa on Dw (4 players, each crew member using no skills, wearing suits, wielding Golden AK.762 rifles and Chicago Typewriter,,,,,,,,without bots) so if you going to do this with skills thats not a challenge. Team of 4 players (without bots) can beat any map on DW using suits and 0 skill points everyone.

Can I do this in stealth? :3

Wich perkdeck you used? And im not talking of potatoe gaming on old Payday. I'm speaking of the beta with the updated more responsive AI and a hardware that can run it at the level its supposed to run.

No point in doing it out of beta....

Try the same challenge without the huge HP pool and regen.

With the more responsive AI and a perkdeck that dosent give you more health. You will MOST LIKELY get 2-shot wich is already way less than what youd get by running muscle. You can't take every single skills either.

@ Everyone: If people start pouring saying its easy then why people keep arguing those skills aint OP?

Update Update.

Me and Altonator attempted Beneath the Mountain. Of course both with setup I described in the rules, without bots. Just us two. We reached the part past the blast door where we need to destruct the antennas. But sadly when it was time to take the zipline the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ us over and alto got down at the very same time I took the zipline. Lets just say I used the top area with the blast door as a nest. I gave all I could to bring him back but I got overrun quick and I had no med bags (having deployed mine downstairs) to refill messiah / hp. If it werent for that we would probably have made it or at the very least would be very close too. This was our second attempt.... first was one of the most short lived heist Ive seen.

Just as an extra note: I only had 2 downs too :P
So it's not like we were on life support with med bags.

I wish I could say the same. But hey, I did my job fairly well either way. :P
