Post your questions regarding the tournament here and we will reply. To keep it clean and focus on the matter at hand, only questions about the tournament will be answered. Cheers!

Q: How exactly are the competition maps modified? - Jotlane

A: Giving away exactly how the heist has been modified would take away from the competition. We can tell you that the way enemies spawn has changed. Generally speaking, if you know how to play the heist on Death Wish, you will finish the competiton. The question really is how good of a time you can get.

Q: We are only signing up when we physically meet your booth? - Qimao

A: Yes.

Q: Is your version of the tournament map only available inside your booth on your computers or are we able to apply it to our own computers at the event? - Qimao

A: It will be available for download at the event so you can practice the heist at the event itself. Before the event, we suggest you practice the heist on Death Wish as you won't have access to the Tournament version of the heist until the event.

Q: Just clarifying - the tournament version only includes up to but not itself the Point Break dlc? - Qimao

A: The tournament version includes all content up to Update 90.1.

Q: Is the prize pool money amount in Swedish or American? - Qimao

A: Any prize pool money is in USD if not stated otherwise.

Q: So.. for those who can't attend to participate at those locations. You guys will stream or something? maybe give a reward for those watching? - Ricther

A: As of now there won't be any stream or way for outside people to participate.

Q: Will this be coming to New Zealand? - -TNZ- bbc100

A: We currently haven't announced an event in New Zealand. If we will host one there, we will tell you as soon as possible.

Q: Do you have to bring your own computer, or will they provided? - el meme volante

A: If you want to practice at the LAN, you have to bring your own computer. When you compete in the tournament, you come to our tournament booth and use our computers. You will not be able to practice at our booth however. This way both people who are at the LAN as well as guests that only have day passes are able to compete.

Q: Old skills or new? - FA_Q

A: Old.

Q: It says you will be traveling the globe, i'm wondering which countries you specifically mean. - SpikeEffect

A: Countries are announced as we agree with DreamHack where to hold the next event.

Q: Can I join the competition only if I meet you guys in real life? - Princess Heather🐺❁

A: Yes, you can only participate at the event itself.

Q: Is it updated since the first one in Sweden? - TSKM Dusen

A: No, same build.

Q: The tournament website mentions a custom build of the game, but I couldn't find precise mentions of this anywhere. Could it be possible to know what the specifics are? - Felix

A: Update 90.1, in-game version 1.43.3.

Q: How to download and play the tournament edition? - SiRoNeKo@Nya～

A: It's only available at the event.

Q: Doesn't 2nd or 3rd place have any prize or consolation in that matter? - Kryppled

A: No, this is a winner-takes-all tournament.

Q: Where can I watch the first PAYDAY 2 Tournament? - Lord Y3ray

A: You can't, it wasn't broadcasted.

Q: I'm wondering if you guys will come over to Malaysia? - Nicholas#sorrybrendan

A: Malaysia is not confirmed yet. We'll tell you as soon as we know if we have the pleasure to go there.

Q: I assume that all 4 crew members must be physically present and cannot have friends through Steam, correct? - Gamer

A: Correct, all participants must be present in the flesh.

Q: So is the tournament build something you give out later or something people can mess around with now? - marv

A: The tournament version of the game is only available at the event. If you wish to practice beforehand, you can play Slaughterhouse on Death Wish difficulty.

Q: I got a question, Why not allow this map to be completed online also/Have a online payday 2 tournament? - Jac

A: In short, we'd love to arrange more tournaments in the future but right now we feel this type of event works the best. Arranging tournaments online or offline takes a lot of resources and requires a lot of people to do a lot of work. If it was super easy, we'd have tournaments all the time.

Q: Does the tournament build have everything unlocked for us? Also, what other differences are there from the main game? - Acekiller

Q: We are able to bring and hook up our own accessories to your computers, ie headphones, keyboard, & mouse? - Qimao

A: On a case-by-case scenario, assuming it's normal equipment, yes. Bring it with you and we will inspect it and make a decision at the event.

Q: We are able to use a USB controller? - Qimao

A: On a case-by-case scenario, if it is a normal controller, yes. Bring it with you and we will inspect it and make a decision at the event.

Q: Are we able to use 3rd party programs to communicate like teamspeak? - Qimao

A: Team Speak will be installed and can be used, yes.

Q: Are you coming to event X?

A: We will tell you if we are coming to event X as soon as we know ourselves.
