LaunchPad cannot connect

Anybody else having this issue? Heard great things about the game, but can't play it because of this... Help?

I'm having the same problem...except when I turn off my AV & firewall (ESET 5.0.95.0) it still won't connect. Any other ideas?

I get this error code:
LaunchPad was unable to connect. Please check the network connection or try again later. If the problem persists, please visit http://www.soe.com/help for assistance.

Do not turn off your firewall, simply add Planetside2.exe and AwesomiumProcess.exe to the exceptions and allow their communications to go through.

jup me too. yesterday everythink worked well and today i get the message:

Same Issue here, played yesterday aswell. It was neither necessary to add ps2.exe etc. to my firewall to launch it before today nor did it change anything after doing so. Win8, 64bit, GData Internet security if this information is helpful for anyone.

I tried adding the two files to my firewall and it still didn't work. Hope they fix it soon, was looking foward to trying the game out.

I assume there is no need to adjust your firewall. This is an unusual issue that many people seem to have now - the game worked fine the other days for me and all others too. There is probably something wrong on SOE's side. Looks like people are communicating with them about it. Let's be patient now.
